PowerGen appoints Operations Engineer
PowerGen has appointed Anthony Roberts, Operations and Maintenance Engineer I, (Environment Affairs), effective June 1, 2003. Anthony graduated from the University of the West Indies in 1973 with a Bsc in Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry. He joined TTEC as its Assistant Chemist in 1980 assigned to the Penal Power Station and in 1995, he was promoted to Chemist. At Penal he was responsible for Plant Chemistry and Environment. Anthony also graduated with a Diploma in Education in 1979 from UWI and a Bachelor of Arts (Bible Theology) from the International Correspondence Institute (now Global University) in 1985. His duties in his new position will be co-ordinating the environmental aspects of the Company’s operations and representing the Company on various environmental committees. He will be working with the Plants in the continued development and implementation of our Environment Management System, Hazardous Materials Management and Environmental projects. A major focus would be on ensuring the Company’s compliance with Environmental legislation.
