Using the leech?

THE EDITOR: The proposal to merge the very successful Unit Trust Corporation with First Citizen’s Bank, somehow seems akin to a long time medical practice of blood letting, when leeches were let loose on healthy bodies as a form of curative medicine. Before embarking on this course of action which the Prime Minister describes as a serious proposal hatched by a private citizen, Mr. Manning must explain whether the treatment would benefit the client or the leech.
