Bullet removed from Daniella’s head
THE BULLET that was lodged in the head of 13-year-old Daniella Carrington was removed Friday night during surgery, sources said yesterday. However, the teen is still being closely watched by authorities at the Mount Hope Medical Sciences Complex. The surgery was done in an attempt to save her life. Young Carrington was shot in the head by a seven-year-old male relative last Tuesday. Since then, doctors have kept Carrington on a ventilator. Police said Carrington and her relative were among others who were left in a vehicle, which was parked outside the Camelot apartment. The seven-year-old boy was said to have found a gun inside a pocket of the vehicle and fired a shot which hit Daniella in the head. PCs Nirmal Ramjattan and Selwyn Hobbs of the St Joseph Criminal Investigations Depar-tment (CID) are continuing investigations.
