Stench at lower Chacon

THE EDITOR: This is an urgent appeal to the Mayor of Port-of-Spain Mr Murchison Brown. Sir, the area of lower Chacon Street is the filthiest of down town Port-of-Spain. The street needs paving, the pavement is broken in most parts and worst of all the stench is unbearable daily. Turning onto South Quay, you forgot to move the vendors who occupy the sidewalk in that area. Mr Mayor I am begging on behalf of the staff and public who do business at the Registrar General’s department, Ministry of Legal Affairs, please use your office to do what is necessary to remove the stench vendors from this area.
