Give PM’s plan a chance
THE EDITOR: An organisation in which its workers are overworked, underpaid, lacking leadership, motivation, direction, poisoned by corruption, and one which serves no purpose to the society for it offers no real strategy to deal with the criminal elements should be gotten rid of.
It was surprising to see Mr Holder of the Police Officers Association speaking out against the crime plans of the Prime Minister and not giving it a chance to see how workable it is. Mr Holder should be aware that the nation has lost confidence in the Police Service and even a speck from a new idea to fight crime would give the population hope.
Holder offers no solution of his own as he continues to let out hot air from his mouth, only to comment that this new organisation could be a parallel police organisation. He is not concerned if crime would be solved or not. The Police Service has been linked to many serious crimes including robberies, kidnapping and blackmail. I heard no comments about this from Mr Holder. If he is aware of these accusations, what is his organisation doing to get rid of these crooked cops? I welcome the new idea of establishing this unit by Mr Manning and I know for a fact that this unit would not be able to recruit any police officers because they would all fail the lie detector test.
