First Lady praised at Conference of First Ladies of the Americas

First Lady Dr Jean Ramjohn-Richards received high acclaim for her presentation at the 12th Annual Conference of First Ladies of the Americas which was held last Thursday in the Dominican Republic. Ramjohn-Richards’s address dealt with Education and Family Life as Part of Society. “Our young people have traditionally been exposed to a variety of skills at national technical institutes within the school system, and other arrangements such as the Youth Training and Employment Partnership Programme (YTEPP) Apprenticeship and Trade Centres,” said the First Lady. The 25 First Ladies included Laura Bush of the United States, Aline Chretien of Canada and Rosa Gomez de Mejia of the Dominican Republic.
