16-year-old scolded for ganja

A 16-year-old boy appeared before a Siparia magistrate Wednesday charged with possession of marijuana. The boy, a student of the Fyzabad Composite School, was arrested on Tuesday evening by Officers of the South Western Divisional Task Force for possession of three grammes of marijuana. He appeared before Magistrate Cardinas-Ragoonanan, was reprimanded and discharged by the magistrate. The exercise which was conducted in the Fyzabad and Oropouche areas, was spearheaded by Senior  Supt Alphonso and Acting Inspector Wells, and included other members of the Task Force.
