Teen raped behind stadium

A 17-year-old girl has been raped behind the Arima Municipal Stadium. According to police reports, the teenager was with a male companion when the incident occurred. Reports state at about 8 pm on Wednesday, the teenager was behind the stadium with her boyfriend when they were approached by an armed man. The couple was robbed of cash and jewelry before the bandit chased the teenager’s companion away. The teenager was then sexually assaulted by the man, who ran off following the attack on the young woman. Arima police are investigating.
