Workers held for larceny at PriceSmart

TWO employees of the Chaguanas branch of PriceSmart were arrested at their Carapichaima home on Tuesday night, and a quantity of items believed to have been stolen from PriceSmart seized. The couple were arrested following extensive enquiries by Sgt Lumy, Cpl Mackenzie and PC Joseph of the Central Division CID. The couple reportedly used a baby in a stroller to assist them to cart away the items. Police reports revealed that between October 25 and November 2, the couple allegedly stole several stuffed toys and electronic items. The baby was then carefully placed on the trolley to conceal the items. Following the discovery of the missing items, a report was made to the Chaguanas police and enquiries were carried out. The couple is expected to appear before a Chaguanas magistrate.
