PM: NO WORD ON SNAGGS
Prime Minister Patrick Manning stated yesterday that he had received no communication from the Police Service Commission on the extension of the acting appointment of Everald Snaggs or the confirmation of his appointment as Police Commissioner or on the appointment of a new Police Commissioner. Manning was speaking at a post-Cabinet news conference at Whitehall yesterday. Manning said he was not aware that the time of Snaggs’ acting appointment had run out. He was responding to reports that Snaggs was to be by-passed in favour of ASP James Philbert for the post of Police Commissioner.
