Baby died from suffocation Mom gives statement to cops

An autopsy carried out on the body of Judan George, the two-year-old child who was murdered by his father at Belmont Valley Road on Saturday night, revealed that death was due to suffocation.

Joseph George, the 47-year old father of the child reportedly hanged the toddler and himself. The bizarre discovery was made by Diana Paul, the mother of the child. Yesterday, she gave a statement to the police, that around 9.30 pm on Saturday, she went to Belmont to collect Judan, when she called out to Joseph she got no answer. She looked through a window and saw their bodies hanging from rafters in the kitchen. She alerted a neighbour who cut down the bodies and a check was carried out for a pulse in the baby but he was already dead.

Paul told investigators that she had broken off the relationship with- George. She had no idea that he was depressed over the break-up. The autopsy was carried out at the Forensic Science Centre yesterday. Paul  went to the Forensic Science Centre yesterday and identified the body of her son. She was comforted by relatives after viewing the body. Relatives said yesterday that they will not be burying Judan with his father. They claimed that they are still in the process of putting arrangements in place for the funeral and burial.
