TTMA meets competitiveness challenge
Infotech Caribbean — a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, in association with the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) hosted a Manufacturing Seminar entitled “Meeting the Competitiveness Challenge through IT” recently.
This was aimed at building awareness of the importance of IT in assisting manufacturers in meeting these challenges. The opening address, “Meeting the Competitiveness Chal-lenge,” was delivered by Anthony Hosang, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Associa-tion at the Hilton Trinidad Conference. The event was facilitated by international Manufactu-ring Consultant, Randy Smith who drew the attention and attendance of over 60 key decision makers from over 40 manufacturing and distribution companies; CEOs, General Managers, Managing Directors and Production and Operations Managers.
With over 15 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing manufacturing systems, Smith identified key areas such as a reduction in time to manufacture inventory levels and cost to formulate, accurate product costing and increased customer satisfaction as some of the key areas where a Microsoft Manufacturing Solution can practically pay for itself. Microsoft business solutions, manufacturing, supply chain management, financial management and customer relationship management solutions are ideally priced to Caribbean-based organisations, said Smith. As the first and only Gold Certified Partner in Trinidad, Infotech Carib-bean is able to design, implement, deliver and support infrastructure, knowledge and business solutions using 100% Microsoft technologies to organisations across the Caribbean region.
