Maintenance at Queen’s Hall, poor
THE EDITOR: Is the allocation from Government to Queen’s Hall so inadequate that it cannot even cover the upkeep of the grounds. The grass badly needs cutting and the surroundings cleaned up. What an unsightly appearance to the newly renovated building.
With the new Budget approved, is it possible:
(a) That the fence or wall can be completed so that cars in the car park area are not exposed to all and sundry.
(b) That a Box Office can be built/provided with the necessary telephone connection for patrons to obtain information re tickets for shows.
(C) That with all the oil money available, some can be spent to pave the grounds, back and front, of Queen’s Hall so that the cars parked are not covered with dust.
(d) That a back-up generator can be provided due to the number of electrical outages in the St Ann’s area.
Come on Madam Minister of Culture, this is the premier concert hall in Trinidad and Tobago, surely by now it can be completed.
