FIFA/CONCACAF women workshop
FIFA director of women football Tatjana Haenni and English coach Hope Powell an FIFA instructor will conduct a three-day FIFA/CONCACAF workshop starting today at the Dr Joao Havelange Centre of Excellence, Macoya, Tunapuna. And 36 coaches from 12 countries have registered to attend the workshop which ends on Saturday with participants getting FIFA Certificates of Attendance.
The workshop will be formally opened by FIFA vice-president and CONCACAF boss Jack Austin Warner from 8.30 am. Haenni and Powel will address women football with regards coaching and administration. And Trinidadian Dr Terence Babwah will lecture on the role of sports medicine in the women game. CONCACAF official and local referees secretary Boni Bishop will deliver a special lecture on the laws of the game.
