San Juan Sports closer NSL $30,000

SAN JUAN Sports moved closer to clinching the $30,000 Sunshine Frosted Flakes windball cricket title when they defeated King’s XI of Arima by 17 runs in the first match of their best-of-three finals. Batting first the defending champions scored 101 for eight wickets off  their 25 overs, with Abid Emamalie hitting 30 runs. Titus Lewis took two wickets for 22 runs. King’s XI in reply were restricted to 84 for eight wickets off their 25 overs with K Mohammed topscoring with 24. The second match will be played on Saturday at the National Hockey Centre, Tacarigua.
