TRINIDADIANS Matthew and Christopher Georger, members of Tigert Sharks featured in this year’s USA National Collegiate Club Water Polo Championships at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. Matthew, a freshman, helped University of Florida keep their No 9 rating, but Christopher, a sophomore at Georgia Tech, saw his team slip one place to No 8 despite his eight goals at the championships. Another Trinidad water polo player James Robertson, co-captain of Colgate University and Orion Ganase a freshman goalkeeper, managed just one win from their four games but retained their No 12 ranking.

Robertson scored 13 goals at the championships and 53 in 15 games for Colgate during the current season. Ganase was a standout for his team in the New York Divisional Championships which qualified Colgate for their first-ever national appearance. University of Michigan won the national title with California Poly State University runners-up and Yale third.
