Holy Faith top Central

HOLY FAITH Convent, Couva,  are the Central Zone winners in this year’s British Gas Secondary Schools Netball League.

They won from four other schools, runners-up Carapichaima Senior Comprehensive, Cunupia High School, Couva Junior Secondary  and Miracle Ministries Pentecostal High School, in the Central series sponsored by Ramsingh’s Sports World, contested at the Chaguanas Indoor Sports Complex. And at the prize distribution ceremony at  the Holy Faith Convent Auditorium yesterday,  zone secretary Linda Joseph said there were signs they were becoming stronger, and  more schools have expressed a desire to compete next year. Both Holy Faith and Carapichaima will play in the national league series.

LEAGUE WINNERS - Holy Faith ; runners-up Carapichaima; 3rd Cunupia High School.
AMERICAN TOURNAMENT -  Cunupia High Schhol.
SHOOTING COMPETITION -for first place - Holy Faith and Couva Junior Sec tied; 3. Cunupia.

Most Outstanding Players: 
Centre - Jewelle Glasgow (Holy Faith);
Defence - Olivia Mc Leod (Cunupia); Attack - Petula Clarke (Carapichaima); 
Shoot - Andrea Kinsale (Holy Faith).
Best Disciplined Team - Miracle Ministries.
