Hunter feared dead in forest
Northeastern Division police fear hunter John Leaniage might be dead, given the nature of the Tacarid forest in Las Cuevas.
Senior police sources told Newsday, “It has been 12 days since he left home and that area is known for large marijuana plantations and trap guns. Based on this, we believe he could be dead. “But we will be going in today with a positive approach, with a helicopter and dogs to look for him.” Forty-year-old Leaniage is reported to have left his Hotel Road, Maracas Bay, home on November 12 by himself to hunt in the Tacarib forest and has not returned since. The six-foot-tall “dougla” man, who has a low haircut, was last seen wearing a short brown pants and a green jersey. Persons with information on the missing man are asked to contact the Maracas Bay police. Constable Maraj is investigating.
