East football princes visit Angostura
ARIMA Senior Comprehensive footballers promised they would visit the House of Angotsura. Dwight Lewis, a member of the team who was fatally stabbed during Arima Borough Day celebrations earlier this year, continually boasted that his dad Clarence Lewis, the company’s industrial relations manager, worked there. So to keep a promise made to the late “Splash” as Dwight was known, members of the East zone British Gas Secondary Schools Football League champions and national Big 5 winners, paid a visit to Angostura recently. The Eastern princes were taken to the museum where the saw the company’s history, to the rum distillery and later to where the world famous Angostura Aromatic Bitters are made.
