Gas station owner robbed of pistol
THE owner of Ghany’s Service station in Curepe has been robbed of his pistol.
At around 9 am yesterday, Amin Ghany, 55, owner of Ghany’s Service Station on Eastern Main Road, Curepe, next to the Maracas taxi stand, was about to enter his car parked at the front of the buisnessplace when he was accosted by two armed men. The men ordered him to hand over his Smith and Wesson 9 mm firearm with eight rounds of ammunition, before escaping in the nearby Sellier Street, Curepe area. The firearm and ammunition are valued at $8000. Visiting the scene were Ag Insp Michael Modeste and Constable Nirmal Ramjattan, who are conducting enquiries.
