TT gymnasts top Jamaica show

TRINIDAD and Tobago’s Mucurapo Girls, Olympia and Tots and Tumblers Gymnastic Clubs gave a good showing at the 2003 Jamaica International Gymnastics Championships, Kingston, Jamaica.

The three teams joined competitors from Ishimoto of Jamaica and Region 5 of the United States of America to display their skill and dexterity on the floor with Tots and Tumblers taking the lions share of awards for the Trinidad and Tobago contingent on Saturday. The crowning glory on the day was the Tots and Tumblers trio of Ashley Frederick (36.00), Jardena Harding (35.15) and Delia Brito (34.90) taking the top three spots in the Level 5 All Ages category.

Level 2: Ages 5-8: 1.Dashea Ali (Olympia) 34.80, 2.Chloe Fullerton (Olympia) 34.33 and 3.Kaila Joseph (Mucurapo) 33.90.
Age 9: 1.Elizabeth Lloyd (Tots and Tumblers) 36.20, 2.Nahaliel Byer (Mucurapo) 35.10 and 3.Shanice Clarke (Mucurapo) 33.50.
Age 10+: 1.Alyssa Naime (Tots and Tumblers) 34.40, 2.Katherine Benjamin (Olympia) 33.80 and 3.Zabidah Ash (Mucurapo) 33.65.
Level 3: Ages 8-9: 1.Aabyah Shepherd (Mucurapo) 35.95, 2.Teri-Ann Romair (Mucurapo) 35.80.
Ages 10-11: 1.Sara Ramdwar (Tots and Tumblers) 36.40, 2.Aida Benjamin (Olympia) 35.70 and 3.Mayleigh Mosca (Tots and Tumblers) 35.40.
Age 12+: 1.Stefanie Thavenot (Tots and Tumblers) 36.35, 2.Shalisa Singh (Mucurapo) 35.00 and 3.Cyan Lee (Tots and Tumblers) 34.15.
Level 4:  Ages 7-9: 1.Thema Williams (Tots and Tumblers) 36.90, 2.Dayna Gillette (Tots and Tumblers) 35.70 and 3.Brianna Allen (Ishimoto) 34.80.
Age 10+: 1.Christiana Newing (Olympia) 36.90, 2.Russha Williams (Tots and Tumblers) 35.80 and 3.Nadyia Quamina (Olympia) 35.15.
Age 11+: 1.Tsian Mc Ivor (Tots and Tumblers) 36.60, 2.Joquetta Waterman (Olympia) 35.80 and 3.Kacy Gray (Tots and Tumblers) 35.00.
Level 5: All Ages: 1.Ashley Frederick (Tots and Tumblers) 36.00, 2.Jardena Harding (Tots and Tumblers) 35.15 and 3.Delia Brito (Tots and Tumblers) 34.90.
