Bandits stage three robberies in Central

Three bandits carried out three separate robberies in Central Trinidad early yesterday. Reports revealed that around 1 am, Kirt Tacklalsingh, 20, of Chaguanas was sitting in his car with David Hampton, 19, and David Ali, 20, when they were approached by three men armed with guns who robbed them of cash, jewelry, and cell phones. They robbed Tacklalsingh of his Toyota Corolla valued $27,000. The same men then went to Linus Recreation Club, at Petersfield, Chaguanas, around 3.20 am.

The bandits held up ten patrons at the club and robbed them of a quantity of cash, jewelry and other valuables. Owner of the bar Andre Cato was also held up and robbed. The bandits escaped afterwards in the stolen vehicle. Around 4.15 am, the bandits went to Carlsen Field to strip the stolen car when they were confronted by a man who threatened to inform the police. The three men ordered the man at gunpoint into his house where he was robbed of cash and jewelry. Officers of the Chaguanas CID went to the scene and carried out enquiries. They then went to Enterprise where they arrested a 26-year-old man and recovered some of the stolen items.
