Guillen wins Republic Bank golf
LUKE GUILLEN took home the title as winner of the 9-hole boys category at the Republic Bank 3, 6, 9 Hole Golf Tournament at the Chaguaramas Golf Course. Guillen registered a score of 36 to edge Jabari Darlington into second place, with Darlington tallying a score of 37 and third-placed Jordan Marsden 39. Aleema Jack won the 6-hole girls division with a score of 32, ahead of Irani Seecharan (38) and Ariel Stampfli (42), while Richard Charles copped the 6-hole boys version with a tally of 31, one more than Nathan Jack with Joshua Camacho third on 38.
Two points separated the top three in the 3-hole boys category, with Nicholai Darlington amassing 18 points, with Ansel Howell (19) and Alex Charles (20) following while Astra Francis made 20 points as she edged Keziah Bailey (21) and Timiebi Okopofabri (24) into second and third respectively. And all participants received plaudits on their enthusiasm and competitive nature by Gregory Lym, Public Relations Officer of the Chaguaramas Golf Club. Lym thanked Republic Bank for their ongoing support to the Club and their involvement in the development of youth through sport.
