Police issue shopping tips for Christmas

Officers of the Community Police Section yesterday issued shopping tips for members of the public for the Christmas season.

The warnings suggest shoppers be watchful and observant and avoid exposing large sums of cash when paying for items. Shoppers are advised to avoid putting all monies in one wallet and to avoid leaving shopping parcels exposed and unattended in cars. The public is also advised to avoid long-strap handbags when shopping,  be aware of pickpockets and avoid going to ATM machines at night.
