Bailey wants Trumpet’s title

PERCY BAILEY is a man on a mission.

The three-time amateur lightweight champ and professional lightweight contender has opted to step up from his current weight class to issue a challenge to national welterweight champion Floyd Trumpet. In true challenger spirit the Tigers Gym pugilist revealed that he knows how to beat Trumpet. He said he also feels Trumpet will back down from putting his title on the line against him.

Bailey, currently a physical instructor in weight training, box-aerobics and Tae-bo at the Super Power Fitness Centre, Port-of-Spain, likened himself to ochra further stating “you can’t hit what you can’t catch” and promised to “change Trumpet’s sound  to a sad note.” With oozing confidence and the extreme ambition to succeed in his current project, Bailey said he intends to stalk Trumpet until the match is made and the fight comes off.
