2 Guyanese get $.1M bail after shooting cop

TWO Guyanese men who allegedly shot a police corporal were on Monday granted bail in the sum of $100,000 each to cover all charges by a Port-of-Spain magistrate.

Ictiball Razak and Saied Razak appeared before Magistrate Avason Quinlan at the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Four C Court jointly charged with possession of arms and ammunition and shooting at police. The men were arrested after they allegedly opened fire on a party of officers, who had gone to an Aranjuez house on Thursday to execute a warrant to search for arms and ammunition. Cpl Jeffers was reportedly shot in the left thigh. He was taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital, where he was treated and warded.
