1000 policemen, when?

THE EDITOR: This past week has been one of the bloodiest in our crime infested existence under the PNM government.

Yet our Prime Minister gives no thought to cancelling his jaunts abroad and leaving Joan Yuille-Williams to face the music. I am curious as to what became of the grandiose plans to have an additional one thousand police officers on the streets to fight crime?
