Cash Wager flashes Stewards’ Cup speed

CASH WAGER sent out a warning that he will not be easily beaten in Saturday’s Betting Levy Board Stewards’ Cup, when he galloped 600 metres in company with Sure Ting at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, yesterday. The pair completed the trip in the good time of 34.8 seconds.

But Movietowne Magic also entered for the $100,000 feature went a trifle better over the same distance, clocking 34.3 seconds for the run. Top Of The Class displayed much fire in a 1,000 metres run also yesterday, returning in 1:02.7 for the spin. On Monday morning, Miss Lover Lover had a bullet workout over 1,000 metres, completing the trip in 1:02.2 seconds. Also show some sparkle was the Maniram “Boboy” Maharaj two-year-old Melanie My Love who covered 400 metres in 23.8 seconds.
