Guard shot and robbed of firearm
A security officer attached to Amalgamated Security services was shot and robbed of his firearm while delivering Coca-Cola supplies to an Arouca grocery yesterday.
According to information, around 9.30am EC Earl Lewis, 35 was standing guard outside a Caribbean Bottlers (TT) Limited (Coca-Cola) truck parked outside Shirley’s grocery on First Street, Five Rivers, Arouca when he was approached by two men who demanded his firearm — a Smith & Wesson .38 revolver.
