Knox brings cruiser After Hours early into port

SIDNEY KNOX used his vast knowledge of the seas to guide After Hours to first place in two Cruising Class events as the 2004 Trinidad and Tobago Sailing Association (TTSA) Cruiser Racing Season sailed off at the Hart’s Cut Bay, Chaguaramas.

Out of a field of 20 vessels, After Hours crossed the finish line first in the Cruiser Race category on the opening day November 30. Wayward, skippered by Jerome McQuilkin, copped the Cruiser/Racing Class and Storm, led by Paul Amon, the Racing Class. Knox and his crew were not done there however, as they won again on Sunday last at the Dynamite Yacht Management Services and Shakers of MovieTowne-sponsored event. Nineteen boats set sail on the day, with Mayumi, guided by Joe Brown, winning the Cruising/Racing Class and Legacy, with Douglas Meyers aboard, the Racing Class. Action continues on Sunday with the Christmas Hamper Race starting at noon at the Hart’s Cut Bay.
