Muslimeen on cocaine charge granted $60,000 bail
JAMAAT Al Muslimeen member Roger Bridgeman has been charged with possession of 1.2 kilos of cocaine valued at $800,000 which is believed to be part of the shipment that washed up on the Toco beach and other ports earlier this year. According to reports, at around 2.30 am on Thursday members of the Northern Division Task Forces swooped down on Jamaat member Freddie Kisson’s La Horquetta home, armed with a search warrant, when they found the drugs.
Bridgeman, who claimed he was “set up,” later appeared before Arima Court Magistrate Gail Gonzales, who placed him on $60,000 bail. He is to return to court on December 18. Bridgeman was involved in a shooting fracas earlier this year in the Toco area over allegations of his association with the drugs that had washed ashore. Police confirmed Bridgeman had been under threat in the ongoing Muslim versus Muslim war. Constable Simon of the Northern Division Task Force laid the charge.
