Traffic jam on Caroni Savannah Road

THE EDITOR: This is an open letter to whomever is in charge of traffic on the Caroni Savannah Road, between Caroni Savannah Road and John Peter Road, at the entrance to the ASJA Boys and Girls College. Every morning, between the hours of 7.30 to 9, the traffic at this location is chaotic. Some people park their vehicles in front of a business place at the corner to shop early in the morning. Would you believe the owner of this popular business place would not tell her customers to park wisely or caution them about bad parking that creates a serious traffic backlog and holds up children going to school.

This area needs police to direct and regulate traffic, because there is only one way in and out of John Peter Road to and from this school. This school has a population of over 3,500 students and parents try to beat the morning traffic to get their kids on time for class but the major problem is obstruction, bad parking and not having proper direction in and out of this area. Come on members of the public, if you are using this road, kindly park your vehicles properly. To the owner of the business, kindly get your staff to ask your customers to park properly. Those who are in charge, please arrange for someone to regulate the traffic. Let us work hand in hand to ease the huge traffic jam.
