Tremendous response to Newsday’s Help a Christmas Project

Newsday’s Help A Family Christmas Project was launched on November 4, and ran until December 4. This project invited our clients and the business community to join with us in assisting the needy in our society by donating non-perishable food items, toys and decorations, in order to bring some measure of joy to these families. The response to this project was tremendous with companies and individuals contributing a variety of food items, in some instances, very large quantities. A special “thank you” to the Easy Riders Club, who printed and distributed flyers creating an awareness for this Newsday project in remote areas in Trinidad. The Easy Riders Club made a contribution of $8,000.00 in food items.
