Jack, Sam score doubles in England

LONDON: Vincentian Rodney Jack and Hector Sam, of Trinidad and Tobago, were double scorers as they powered their clubs to stylish wins in the English Second Division on Sunday evening. Jack’s pair of goals for Rushden and  Diamonds sank Wycombe 2-0, and Sam’s double lifted Wrexham to a 4-2 win over Blackpool. Jack netted both his goals in the first half as 11th placed Rushden dismissed bottom-of-the-table Wycombe at Causeway Stadium. Rushden were up and running in the fourth minute when Jack exchanged passes with Jamaica international Paul Hall and calmly slotted the ball past Wycombe’s Steve Williams.
