Corrective action needed
THE EDITOR: May the peace and goodwill meant to prevail especially at this time be with everyone, always. As 2003 draws to a close , there are two thoughts/observations I would like to share with you readers and moreso, hope that both would reach the relevant authorities, and corrective action taken. Firstly, why do groups of five or six law enforcers patrolling our cities always walk in one direction instead of splitting up and having three in one direction and three in another?
Bandits and criminals must laugh all the way in plotting their next strike. Law non-enforcement or law non-existence is fast becoming the reality as these criminals and bandits take over the land. We need Giuliani! Or are we too proud for that? Secondly, recently my family and I spent the day at Maracas and couldn’t help but notice the increasing number of (what appears to be) squatters on the hills surrounding the beautiful bay. What looked like some dying tall trees (obviously “killed”) also stood out surrounding the squatters indicating expansion plans by these squatters. I beg the authorities to take the much needed urgent action, before, as it always is, too late.
