Under-19s whip USA cricketers
A Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 team has defeated a visiting United States Under-19 team by three wickets in the latest match of their goodwill tour. Batting first on an excellent batting strip produced by Jeewanlal Persad, brother of national player Mukesh Persad, the visitors made 163 for nine in their allotted 40 overs. Akiel Khan, of Pakistan parentage played a very fluent innings of 65, laced with seven boundaries. Trinidad and Tobago, in reply, made 167/7 with six overs and one ball to spare. Leading the way for the local lads was wicketkeeper Anderson Beharry who clouted an unbeaten 30.
