Benefit cricket at Hasely Crawford

CRICKET will return to the Hasely Crawford Stadium tonight after 20 years, and it will all be for the benefit of ex-national fastbowler Eugene Antoine. Roger Harper and Rohan Kanhai were the stars of that game at the stadium two decades ago, but tonight, Antoinie will lead his club team CLICO Preysal in a 25-over game against top club Queen’s Park, to launch his benefit year. All Sport Promotions Limited, employers of Antoine, have agreed to host the game jointly with the Parkites.  Starting time is 7.10 pm. Both teams along with Carib Brewery and All Sport are contributing to the Antoine Benefit, but patrons have not been left out as several companies including Alstons Marketing, Hi-Lo and Lever Brothers have agreed to offer spectator  prizes.
