Jabloteh, Connection in football decider
CL FINANCIAL San Juan Jabloteh can lift the T&T Pro League title for the second consecutive season when they oppose W Connection in today’s Round 36 match at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva.
The league leaders hold a nine-point lead over Connection and need only a draw in this afternoon’s encounter, scheduled to begin at 4 o’clock, to retain the crown. Coached by first-timer Ricky Hill, Jabloteh have retained the core of the 2002 team, including captain Angus Eve, Kerry Baptiste, Otis Seaton, Cornell Glen, Travis Mulraine, Ansil Elcock, Nigel Daniel, Josh Johnson and Trent Noel, who have all played crucial roles this season. Connection cannot be counted out though, as the bunch led by debutant coach Leroy Spann will be looking towards the likes of Earl Jean, Arnold Dwarika, Titus Elva, Silvio Spann, captain Reynold Carrington and goalkeeper Alejandro Figueroa. The Under-20 clash between both teams will be contested at 2 pm.
