CONCACAF kick off 2004 programme

SENIOR Football Association Instructors Steve Rutter and Mike Hennigan will conduct the prestigious FA International Coaching Licence Course when the 2004 CONCACAF Development Prog-ramme begins. This course is scheduled to start at the Dr Joao Havelange Centre of Excellence, Macoya, Tuna-puna, on March 17 and continue until March 25.

Among the theoretical and practical issues expected to be covered in the week-long programme are the planning, preparation and conduct of training sessions, team preparation, strategies, systems and tactics. The licence, which is equivalent to a UEFA “B” licence, will grant the successful participants the eligibility to proceed to the FA’s Advanced Coaching Licence Course, which is the recognised equivalent to the UEFA “A” Coaching Award. At the end of the programme, the CONCACAF “C” Licence Coaching Course will take place at the same venue, with ex-national star and coach Alvin Corneal, now a FIFA Instructor, in charge.
