South Zone cricket bowls off Sunday

CRICKET action in the South Zone gets underway with the Ramsingh-sponsored limited overs cricket series on Sunday at venues throughout the Southland. Twenty-three teams will be vying for the top prize of $2,000. The teams will be split in four zones for the preliminary rounds. In group A, Hermitage Youth Organisation (HYO) will start as favourites against Union Hall, the other on Sunday is between Cedros and Civic Centre. Poonah the other team in the group is on a bye.

In Group B, Vijay Sports comes up against Palo Seco, Paragon tackle T. Birds and East Indians play Avocat. Group C action will take in MYO against the talented Diamond United, O.J’s against La Fortune and Ben Lomond versus X Men. Group D will see Usine against Young Lions of Piparo, Clarke Rochard against Play Boys and Woodland against Evergreen.
