Pamphille hits unbeaten Sunday League 177

WICKET KEEPER/batsman Joel Pamphille struck a hurricane unbeaten 177 for W-Connection Wanderers against Mayo Valleyboys in their fifth round Group B Carib Sunday League cricket clash at Gilbert Park, Couva, yesterday. Pamphile’s innings enabled Wanderers to record a massive 348/4 in their allotted 50 overs. Lending support were former national player Narine Bideshi and Param Rampersad both with 46. The major upset of the round was the 101-run whipping for National league champs Merryboys by Tile It Central Sports. Batting first Central Sports posted 251/5 with Satish Naidoo scoring 135. In reply Merryboys were restricted to 150 all out, as Narendra Bridgelal claimed 5/35. Also in winners row were Clico Preysal hammered Green Arrow by eight wickets at the Inshan Ali Park. England International Mark Ramprakash 67 not out with 10 fours and Keshava Ramphal 37 not out to bring home the win.
