Woman sets man’s face on fire

TWO CHILDREN, aged nine and five, were present when their 29-year-old father’s face was doused with gasolene and set alight by a female relative on Tuesday night. The relative later told police she was “making joke” with the victim at their Tabaquite home.

The victim, Herman Subero, who is in unsatisfactory condition at the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH), is reported to have told his family he does not intend to press charges against the woman, who was questioned by police and released. The incident occurred at around 11 pm on Tuesday. Subero was asleep on a couch in the living-room at his Carry Road, Tabaquite home when he was approached by the woman who woke him up and asked for his cigarette lighter to light a stove.
