Chadee relative on cocaine, arms charges
BAIL was yesterday granted in the sum of $300,000 to 30-year-old Winfield Chadee who is charged with trafficking cocaine and possession of arms and ammunition. Chadee, a relative of executed drug lord Dole Chadee, was charged on Friday after he was allegedly found in a house at Pascal Road, Piparo, with a AK 47 riffle, three rounds of 7.52 ammunition and four kilogrammes of cocaine. He was arrested by a party of officers headed by Sgt Errol Ramdath. The accused was yesterday granted bail by Princes Town First Court Magistrate Jai Narine after his criminal record revealed that he had a previous conviction for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The matter was adjourned to Thursday March 18.
