RHA doctors to meet

Regional Health Authority (RHA) doctors will meet tomorrow to discuss the failure of the Joint Negotiating Team of RHAs to begin negotiations for consultants and registrars as promised by Health Minister John Rahael. “To date, the doctors have not been contacted to set a date for the start of negotiations,” the Medical Professionals Association of TT (MPATT) said in a media release yesterday. MPATT referred to a commitment given by Rahael when he met with doctors on February 13 to have negotiations begin by the first week in March. MPATT said Rahael also said negotiations for senior doctors will begin as soon as possible when he spoke in Parliament last Friday.
