Girl charged with murder

THE female teenaged suspect who was arrested on Thursday following the fatal stabbing of Lennard Jack, 19, at Super 10 Store on Frederick Street, Port-of-Spain will appear before a Port-of-Spain magistrate on Monday charged with murder. Following the autopsy results, which confirmed death by haemorrhaging consistent with a stab wound, the results and records of investigations were sent to the office of the Director of Public Prosecution for direction. Late yesterday evening, the DPP ordered the teen to be charged with murder. Jack of Wharton Street, Laventille, was stabbed in the neck by a teenaged female customer following an altercation. He died a short while after at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital. Sgt Lynch of the Port-of-Spain CID laid the charge.
