Mason charged with ‘Tank’s’ murder
The man charged with the murder of Darren Hadden George, aka “Tank,” yesterday appeared before Chief Magistrate Sherman McNicolls at the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court to answer to the charge. Kellon Inniss, of East Quarry, Laventille, was charged with George’s February 21 murder. George, 26, died moments after he was shot at a house in Pump Trace, East Dry River, Laventille. Inniss, who had earlier refused to have his fingerprints taken, was ordered by McNicolls to go “immediately” to the ground floor of the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court and have his prints taken. The accused was promptly escorted out of the court room by Court and Process Branch officers. Inniss, a mason, was represented by attorney Ian Brooks and will re-appear before McNicolls on Monday.
