Taxi driver escapes death

A taxi driver escaped death on Tuesday night when he was ambushed by seven gunmen firing at his car. According to reports Bert Mayers of 9th Avenue North, Barataria was sitting in his car  around 11pm when seven men dressed in dark clothing came up and demanded to know what he was  doing there. Frightened, Mayers drove off only to hear the sounds of gunfire behind him. On reaching his home he stopped and inspected his car where he found his rear windshield shattered and bullet holes to the back of his vehicle.A report was made to the San Juan police station and constable James and Ramoutar visited the scene.
