Professionalism and warmth shown by credit union employee
THE EDITOR: Permit me to express my sincerest gratitude to a loyal member of staff at the Co-operative Credit Union League of Trinidad and Tobago. During the week of March 8, 2004 I had cause to call the offices of the Credit Union League to seek advice and guidance on a matter regarding an overpayment on my Family Indemnity Plan with a central credit union and for which I was having great difficulty in understanding and obtaining proper service and guidance from the credit union in settling the matter.
I must admit that when I called the League it was a real blessing. The person to whom my call was transferred and to whom I spoke, gave her name as Dianne Joseph. Trust me, she took the time to listen and to give me all the explanations that I had required. I was so frustrated at my situation and when I expressed this to Ms Joseph, she even served as a counsellor to console me and even gave me assurances about the matter in which the Family Indemnity Plan operated. From her speaking, I gathered that she has to be well qualified in the field of her work and truly customer oriented.
I am in two credit unions for several years and I believe that Ms Joseph is the type of person who should be used as an example to other service oriented organisations, first for taking the time to listen, then to give advice and she even went so far as to tell me to have a very blessed day at the end of the conversation and that I can call/write again if I had further problems. I wish to say to Ms Joseph, ‘thank you’ once again for your great work. I went back to my credit union with the education that you gave me and I was better able to handle myself and treat with my matter. Keep on being the kind person that you are, especially for the ‘little’ people like me, who needed your help. One day I will be blessed to meet you.
