Couple held with stolen electronics

A 23-year-old man and his 20-year-old wife of Warrenville were arrested by a party of officers yesterday and stolen electronic items valued over $90,000 seized. Reports revealed that on March 18, Jean Dindial, owner of Central Electrical at Montrose, secured her home and businessplace and left. When she returned, she discovered more than $90,000 in electronic items missing. A report was made to the Chaguanas CID and following extensive enquiries, a party of officers, led by Inspector Burt Raphael, Ag Sgt Ajith Persad and including PCs Alexander and Harvey, executed a search warrant at an apartment in Warrenville. Officers recovered a number of the stolen items and also seized a quantity of jewelry. The suspects are expected to appear before a Chaguanas magistrate tomorrow.
