Housewives revive group
HOUSEWIVES from Arima, Tunapuna, Barataria, Port -of-Spain, Diego Martin and Caroni, recently met in Diego Martin and agreed to begin mobilisation to take action on rising prices and other concerns. The group agreed to mobilise housewives’ areas throughout the country to form Housewives Association of Trinidad and Tobago (HATT) branches, arrange for a meeting with the Minister of Consumer Affairs following a HATT General Meeting and arrange a visit to the National Flour Mills (NFM).
The HATT General Meeting takes place on April 17, at the National Library, Knox Street, Port-of-Spain, at 2 pm. Among the items to be discussed is a National Forum on Food Prices and a Food Fair. For further information call Hazel Brown at 632-2254 or Joanne Best-Rose at 664-0076.
